Hey Y'all!
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, things have been a little crazy around here lately with the holidays, deployment, and of course, Beau. We had pictures taken the other day at Sears in Watertown (posted in my albums), they did an alright job the 2nd time we went. The first time we went in, the photographer was late and cut 15 minutes off our 30 minute session then rushed us the whole time and wouldn't really pose us or anything. So we came back the next day and got a better photographer.
Things are good up here, we're just getting ready for deployment. Blaze is excited to go to Afghanistan but feels guilty about it because he's leaving Beau and I. I keep telling him he shouldn't feel guilty, this is his job, and I'd rather him be excited than tormented. Regardless...I'll miss him so freaking much. Also, I have a mailing address for him once he's deployed...if you want it, just email or call me and I'll give it to you. I know they love getting letters and care packages over there. If you need any ideas on what to put in a care package, call me and I can point you in the right directions. Mostly baby wipes, snacks that won't go bad (beef jerky, etc), and anything they can mix with bottled water. They'll have endless amounts of bottled water over there. Like I said, contact me and I'll get you more info. I know he would LOVE to hear from all of you before he leaves, so if you get some time, just try to give him a call and say hi. :)
Beau is WONDERFUL! He's pretty much over the RSV thing. (He got sick and had a 2 day hospital stay but it wasn't a huge deal). He actually slept through the night last night....it was WONDERFUL! :D It's funny because I never realized that I could function on 3 hours of sleep lol. Anyway, he's just perfect, he's started smiling a little bit, he does it more and more each day. He's really good lifting his head and can follow you with his eyes and head. He's super smart and sweet....we have really been blessed with an awesome little guy!
Beau and I will be coming home sometime in January (hopefully before the 15th). We'll be staying with my mom while Blaze is gone and likely about a month after. Blaze is going to transfer to Ft. Hood after this deployment so I'll just be staying in Texas until they release him from Ft. Drum. Anyway, I can't wait to share Beau with everyone! I'm really excited about Beau getting to play with all of his cousins! Well I've got to get going, don't forget to check out the "Family Pictures" album! Love you all!!
Shannon
